Does the Ultrahuman Ring AIR need a subscription?
No. Sleep, recovery, heart rate, HRV and movement tracking are included with no app fee. Ultrahuman sells optional add-ons called PowerPlugs. Some are free, and a few, such as AFib detection and Cycle & Ovulation Pro, are paid. This is the biggest difference from Oura, which charges a monthly membership for most of its insights.
What does the Ring AIR track?
It tracks sleep stages, resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), skin temperature and movement around the clock. The app turns this into a Sleep Index, a Recovery Score and a Movement Index, and suggests when to push harder and when to rest.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 6 days, and closer to 4 if you track a lot of workouts. It charges on the included wireless dock.
Is the Ultrahuman ring waterproof? Can I shower or swim with it?
Yes. It's water resistant up to 100 m, so showers, swimming and washing up are fine.
How do I find my Ultrahuman ring size?
Ultrahuman sizes don't match standard jewellery ring sizes, so don't guess from a ring you already own. Ultrahuman recommends using its sizing kit first. Wear the sizer for a day, including overnight, because fingers swell. If you're between two sizes, message us before ordering and we'll help you choose.
Which Ring AIR colour should I choose?
- Aster Black: the most low-key, goes with everything
- Matte Grey: understated, with no shine
- Space Silver: a classic silver look
- Raw Titanium: the natural metal, a technical look
- Bionic Gold: reads as jewellery as much as a tracker
- Brushed Rose Gold (₹22,100): a warm rose tone
Is Ultrahuman banned? What happened with Oura?
Not in India. In October 2025, the US International Trade Commission ruled in Oura's favour in a patent case, which stopped Ultrahuman importing new Ring AIR stock into the United States. The ruling only applies to the US. The Ring AIR is sold normally in India, and Ultrahuman has filed its own patent case against Oura in the Delhi High Court.
Ring AIR or Ring PRO: what's the difference?
Ultrahuman launched the Ring PRO in February 2026 at $479. It has up to 15 days of battery, a dual-core processor, a redesigned heart-rate sensor and a charging case that extends use to about 45 days. The Ring AIR is lighter on the wallet with the same core tracking and no subscription. For most people the Ring AIR is the better-value pick; the PRO suits anyone who hates charging.
